CarVX report, recall questions

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone

Just got my CarVX report.

Does anyone know what this yellow warning means on factory recall?

Many thanks

Try inputting the vehicle registration number into the DVLA.

Of course, it will only be accurate if recall details are passed to the UK.

I believe Toyota can check for you but may not be a quick process.

I don't have a CarVX report, but other members do; hopefully you will receive some replies soon.

The "problem" is that there are recalls listed, but they don't have the information on whether the recalls were done. If you want to cross reference the recalls on the CarVX report with whether they were done in Japan, put your chassis number into this Toyota Japan page and it will tell you if they are completed or not. If you use Chrome, it can translate it from Japanese for you. You will probably find any recalls that were required whilst the vehicle was still in Japan will have been done.

Yeah the AH10 Alphard has Takata passenger airbags which had a propensity to go off accidentally (was a big thing with lots of manufacturers recently as Takata are one of the main suppliers).

Use the website smurf stated above, id be surprised if the recall hadnt been done.  Mine had, believe there were two recalls for it.
