Our Alphard 2002-2008 came with the room lights altered to blue (the up-lighters).

From what we can tell, they have probably replaced the previously clear plastic cover or coloured it in with pen.

 

I want to remove one to inspect it and un-colour by whatever means necessary, but cannot see an easy way to remove it without talking off a bunch of trim.

 

Any ideas how it is attached and the correct method for maintenance of the room lights?

Neither of my rear lights operate !
