Hi my engine management light has come on. I have taken it to two garages for diagnostics but "their computer isn't talking to my Alphard 's computer.... Has anyone else had this problem. My Alphard is an import. 2004 reg

Hi,There has recently be quite a discussion on this very subject.If you look through posts in the last couple of weeks under the same headings as yourself[including my comments], you may find some help.

i personaly be saying change the front fuel ratio sensor which seems to be a common fault and its not a exspensive job to do if yyou pm me your reg no. or vin no. i can point you in the right direction and give you a picture where its located.

You need a scanner with the JOBD protocol to read the fault codes, once you have a code  you can google it, you will then have a very good idea on which part to replace, with out the code you will just be throwing money at it, a good scanner is the Ancel JP700
