Hi Has anyone had a Flywheel replaced on a Alphard 2003, having real problems getting a garage to undertake this work,

I cant even find apart no. to see if replacement can be sourced.

Can anyone offer any suggestions. cheers

Hi Picasso, HC53HBH, Had RAC out due to start problem, he had to turn engine manually and it started straight away. It wouldn't start again till he repeated the procedure. Thanks for your interest.

It’s starter motor problem not flywheel bear with me a couple hours will get you part no. And link where to buy it from starter motor will cost you about £200

Hi Lee, I really appreciate your help, I am going to remove old starter and see if I can inspect flywheel condition while someone turns the engine manually, can you tell me if I can do any damage due to mis alignment?. I will then order new motor . Its really good to have the help and advise from being part of this forum, Thanks again

i dont think any damage will be done to the flywheel i have advised many members on here with starter motor problems and all solved by changing the starter motor your worrying because rac gave you wrong information for the cost of a new starter motor is going to be a lot cheaper than changing the fly wheel
