Do we have "smart" alternators??

Hi, just thinking about b2b charging, do the alphards have "smart" alternators anyone?

To answer my own question (having done a bit more research) it would appear the easy way to tell is there will be a black sensor on the negative Terminal of the battery instead of a straight forward connector. The other interesting fact is, apparently lithium batteries cannot be used with a smart alternator compatible split relay? Anyone confirm this or otherwise??
