  1. Hi folks. Anyone got any ideas ref the power boot not closing? Thanks
  2. Thanks to all and drahpla on this. Smart key obtained and getting programmed this week. However, do have an issue whereby the power boot doesn't like closing. Will start but it's like a sensor is picking up an obstruction and it opens up again. No real pattern to it. Can go down an inch and back up, or can go 30% down then back up. Makes no difference if pressing the tailgate button briefly or longer. Same thing if using the button on the dash. It's probably closed properly 3 times out of 20 tries. It opens fine from the dash button. Is there a reset or calibration process for the power boot like for the windows or any ideas? Thanks.
  3. OK. A good starting point.....
  4. Thanks both. I can get the smart key. However, zero idea how to get it programmed or to match my own Alphard.... At least yet. I shall persevere.
  5. Hi Tracey. Just joined myself. Also black 2007. If you change the head unit you'll miss out on all the fun of trying to learn Japanese!
  6. Hi Cat. No, I asked the dealer to do it. He supplied the parts at cost price and didn't charge labour as part of the overall deal. He did say the usual cost to supply and fit is £320 a side! Each unit seems to be well over £200, but others more expert than I might be able to source cheaper.
  7. Hi Stew. I did see another black one in Turriff today. There's also a white on in Banff. We used to have a, static caravan at Burghead but sold it late last year. The Alphard a kind of replacement in a way, for days out etc. Not camping... Lpg I've not had any issues with on previous cars. Been running a subaru outback 3.0 for the past 5 years on it and no hassles. Plus a smug £1 a litre cheaper at the moment. Mine was converted by the dealer. Cost to get done up here around £600 more from the 2 places I enquired at.
  8. Have pm'd as not wanting to do dealer a disservice as haven't contacted them yet.
  9. Thanks. Will be doing that tomorrow!
  10. Thanks again. Have attached the keys I have. It wasn't sold as having keyless but I'm guessing from the button on the door handle it does? Is that a right guess do you know? Cheers
  11. Thanks for that. The jpnz English manual I have suggests I have the incorrect key fobs as no boot function on it......will annoy the dealer who supplied for advice. Cheers
  12. Hi all. Anyone know if the powered tailgate is a close function only? Mine has it but the keys don't have the boot open button and it just seems to latch open as any tailgate would. But will close via the button on the inner tailgate. Is the close function only correct or have I been given a duplicate set of programmed keys (which work fine for locks abd remote doors) and it should open electrically as well? Thanks in the hope of someone knowing!
  13. Thanks Steve. I'm Aberdeenshire. See the odd one up this way. Right, off to ask a couple of questions....
  14. Hi all. Just got my new to me Alphard. It's a 3.0 ms prime selection 2 model. Had it converted to lpg so hopefully local supplier won't stop selling it! Also had the rear door cables renewed as, a precaution as seems to be a when not if they break... Will post a, couple of queries elsewhere but here is the hallo!
