Hi Tony Mine was the starter motor failing Bw D

Many thanks to all those posting here -- was able to source parts from eBay and direct my local garage to the instructions -- working well in my bus

Starter motor failed completely yesterday -- happily my new best friend Nick from the AA was able to diagnose, source a replacement and fit within the day -- I might have suspected earlier but the problem was very intermittent and the bus often started without trouble.

Thanks both -- had cruise control fitted* -- work fine activated manually and not turned off on the dash * Many thanks to those posting instructions and part sourcing in other threads -- worked perfectly!

That is useful detail Nev and as you say chimes with what I saw on the dash -- thanks very much

That's my problem in a nutshell -- the key used to open the sliding doors, but now (and following some electrical work) they don't. Has anyone come across this before and can advise? Thanks in advance D

Hello playmates I'm a new Alphard owner and it's been a joy... But the last couple of days it's been sulky about starting after a brief stop The engine simply won't turn over But left alone for a while, it then decided it could start after all Happened more than once On one occasion, I got on the dashboard a red engine light with a black key symbol on it, which might be a clue Any advice greatly appreciated bw D
