  1. Do you have a link to that unit? Maybe I’ll just get that
  2. Aha that’s interesting. But yeah not what we are after … are you going to bother contacting the seller or is that a waste of time?
  3. yes I’ve seen those but I did expect the accuracy of your kit to be higher than zero!
  4. oh man that's funny - all these bonus functions but no tires!! ha! good luck with it
  5. Ah that’s pretty awesome! Will check back once you’ve got the tpms thing going Also please leave the link for the alphard model you found
  6. Ah. Yes. I will definitely wait and see how it goes for you! Thanks for your sacrifice
  7. Is it strange that I'm surprised by this? I had an ancient Subaru prior. Nothing special, not a fancy version. It had a basic icon that'd light up if something was amiss. The horseshoe with exclamation mark. I'm not expecting a display with per tire readout... but we don't even get the icon thing?
  8. Hi I’ve swapped out the factory head unit in my ah20 for a kenwood Have I also removed any kind of tire pressure warning system? I’ve been scouring the dash for the typical tire icon but can’t find it.
  9. Hi again So I did the reset 5 days ago. Probably opened/closed the door 40 times since then. No issues - until today! So what would the next steps be?
  10. Interesting. But also weird. Because it doesn’t do it every time. Maybe one decapitation every five openings? Anyway I’ll see how it goes this week. Cheers Chris
  11. Hey! I’ve done this and will report back if it plays up again
  12. Also yes I did search the site already and it’s not totally clear/written in a guide style format
  13. Hey all Both our ah20 sliding doors are sensing some sort of resistance when opening, then close themselves - typically on one of my kids faces. It was funny the first time Is there a simple maintenance guide for sliding doors covering the following: -which parts needs cleaning with brake cleaner/blue roll -which parts need dry grease -which parts to avoid grease -any other tips … I was about to to grease the whole bottom track but played it safe and just did the runner/bearing for now Thanks all
  14. Similar quest here. If I get a head unit with dvd player and standard video out (yellow rca) will it connect happily to the standard Alpine TMX-R1050VG drop screen?
  15. Thanks all. I checked every fuse. Two were broken, swapped them out and I’m good to go!!
  16. I seem to learn all my lessons the hard way @Picasso. I blame the parents
  17. Ah thanks very much! I’m going to spend today checking the fuses and will text the alternator as well. and yeah. My brother said the same thing about the battery… rookie mistake
  18. @Chris.ac Is this true?? I’m in Heavitree - Any chance we can say hello somewhere? I’m happy to travel to you with whatever bribes are necessary
  19. To add - I put the old head unit back in and cancelled the swap. The head unit does not work either.
  20. Hey all During an attempt to swap a head unit over I have shorted something out. My wife is going to kill me in my sleep. Or maybe even while I’m awake? Power was turned on mid swap. There was a quiet fizzle, and a smell. The speedo, rev counter, gear select on the instrument cluster is dead. Lit, but no movement. I cannot open the slide doors unless the van is off. I started checking fuses earlier and have had to pause until tomorrow. The 10a fuses for the cluster seem fine. Any thoughts out there on first things to check? Thank you. I hope I make it through the night
  21. Thanks both! I'm waiting on the head unit to arrive and I'm sure I'll be back in tears shortly
  22. Hey Zak, Yet another revival of this gold mine of a thread. Going through the same motions. Are you still happy with this setup? Apart from the remote thing. Where did you get to with the cameras? I noticed the Ali link mentions 360 cameras can work, wondering how much faith to put in that. And generally this working well long term. Cheers
