Hi everyone thanks so much for your time and effort I got the smart key fob from eBay and did the reprogramming and it works great the black button on the door does what it’s supposed to do unless you guys can give me any more tips on anything else that I might need to do to make this great motor even better I would love to hear then and again many thanks for everything

Hi I’ve found out on line after checking the key fob number that it is something to start and stop the engine have put new batteries in and nothing happens it might need reprogramming but I haven’t got a clue how this is done, if someone does know would they mind telling me

Many thanks for letting me know it looks like I might have to bite the bullet and buy the proper one and hopefully it works and I haven’t got another problem with the keyless control unit which I’ve seen on eBay going for about £150 and then get it all reprogrammed

This is the only key I have but the question is do I need to buy a smart key fob and get it programmed so that I can just push the black button on the drivers door to unlock or lock the car , the key that I have got in the picture works fine and I have 2 more of these exact same keys. I would just love to know how to use the black button on the drivers door thanks again

Hi so I take it that I don’t have a smart key fob, I have a key fob which unlocks the car by pushing the buttons on it . so do you have 2 fobs one that starts the car with the key type fob and the other is a different fob which links to the black button on the door handle

Hi it’s on the drivers door and the rear tailgate just to double check I think I have the smart key is it the one with all the buttons on it which also opens the side electric doors

Hi everyone I’ve just joined this forum and Im just wondering if anyone had any info on why the door button on my Toyota doesn’t work is there a fuse or box of some sort that I need to change ,the key works fine
