  1. Yes, some of us do. Do you have a conversion already ? Do you have a seven seater or eight seater ? Ideally, you need a seven seater. As the difference isn't always obvious, please let us all know your vehicle type number. ANH10, or something similar, its should be on your B plllar, passenger side
  2. Hello Teresa, Welcome to the Club and the Forum. Wow, That's a few questions you have here. Are you testing us all; trying to keep us all on out toes ? I have never owned a Fiat Panda; you will experience a huge difference, I am sure. An Alphard will easily accommodate two bicycles, some members transport their motor cycles. Buy a rubber mat for the bikes. I us one to prevent unnecassary mess from my beloved pooch Actually, the fuel consumption is quite good; but not, no doubt, when compared to a Panda. The engines (especially the V6s) are very torquey, so you don't need your right foot much. There is at least one thread regarding actual real life fuel consumption on this Forum. I don't think any of us have the faintest idea what will happen with fuels, emissions, ULEZ etc over the next decade or more If I had to guarantee anything, it will be that taxes will increase whatever you drive; electric / hybrid included. I humbly suggest you decide on the now, rather than what the future may, or may not, be. All the Alphies Vellfires are about the same size, and, compared to a Panda, are pretty big ! V and G are different distribution channels resulting in a few small trim differences. As with all vehicles, consider the important options, ignore the rest, buy the best you can reasonably afford and, imho get an RAC or AA report before committing to purchase. The main decision might be ready converted, or not ? I feel sure you will receive many other helpful suggestions. Welcome to our Community
  3. Hello John and Linda, 2008 was a changeover year. The former series were known as the 10 series, and the later as the 20 series. , The model number, which is on the passenger side B pillar, will distinguish which.
  4. Hello Andy, Welcome to the Forum. Welcome to Alphard ownership. Enjoy your trip to Bulith. I'm sure you will
  5. Hi Chad, Welcome to Alphard ownership.
  6. There's a lot of good points. You will love it.
  7. Do you expect to prefer a side or rear conversion variant ?
  8. Hi Lee, The Owners Manuals that Picasso mentions are very good, but they don't cite part numbers. There is a part number thread on this Forum for simple service parts, otherwise you can try your luck with Toyotaalphardepc.com
  9. Hi Barry, Welcome to Alphard ownership.
  10. Hi Rick, Welcome to the Forum.
  11. Hi john, Welcome to the Forum.
  12. 3.5 ltr, 2008 on. All Alphard / Vellfire engines are petrol. Larry, Is yours the V6, as you're listed as 2.4 ltr owner ?
  13. Bug Catcher, I think. The Americans call them Snoods. Seems to have quite a few other aftermarket goodies too
  14. Hello Adam, Welcome to the Forum
  15. Hello Gordon, Welcome to the Forum. Welcome to Vellfire ownership.
  16. Hi Sue, Thanks for the photo, but I have a newer unit so I doubt I can help you. There are two sonor functional units. One for reversing, which only works in reverse. One for the rear corners which works for pedestrians and very close walls (provided it is switche on!) I don't have the 'stalk' you have, but do have a car emblem to the right hand side of your Front screen button. I can see the space in your dash, but no evidence of the emblem Hopefully, someone else can come to your assistance.
  17. No. Xtrons is aftermarket unit. Can you upload a photo of your unit please so we can all identify it.
  18. Do you have the HDD head unit ?
  19. Are you referring to the sonor sensors ?
  20. Hello Angela, Welcome to the Forum.
  21. The Barnstaple conversion I referred to is specifically for an Alphard. It is DIY fit, but professionally produced a s flatpack.
  22. Greater Manchester area shouldn't be a problem, surely ? Nevertheless, Good Luck
  23. I don't believe it is old age; but then some of our younger members might disagree ! I have driven left hand drive and right hand drive frequently. Including my rhd frequently to Spain and back. I have lived four times in left hand drive countries. Driven four on the floor and 3 speed column shift. I have only ever driven in UK, Europe and the US. I don't know how many American cities (some with their 12 lanes each way) and in all types of extreme weather. Madrid, Paris and Milan were the worst. Dallas and Chicago a close second. After all this, I still find my autonomic unconscious driving the wrong car very occasionally! Unfortunately, I know of two people, both Americans driving in the UK, who struggled with the challenge of driving on the wrong side and drove head on into oncoming traffic. I nearly did the same when first living in (a very depopulated area of) the US. My advice to anyone new to driving an automatic is keep that left foot firmly on the floor. As I have mentioned previously, in this Forum, failure to do so can create some real excitement with any drivers following. Finally, I confess, I still have not become fully cognisant of the wipers and indicator stalks being reversed (compared to European made and specified vehicles) on my Alphie. The American style foot brake gets me too sometimes. But that's my issue, not the Alphie.
  24. I drive both manuals and autos every day. The left foot thing seems to last forever !
