    This tip was very useful after struggling with long nose pliers for quite awhile. I now own fishing forceps and I do not go fishing.

    have you done this on both doors? I have one where the cable is fraying and was thinking of just cutting that cable, but I assume the door mechanism would still try and work if the handle was pulled?
