18" Wheel recommendations
Looks great! My googling of aftermarket 18’s lead me to your picture, what size tyres are you running?

Has anybody used Amayam for spares?
I have used them years back. I imagine the shipping for a rear bumper would be eye watering. Try your local dealer with the part number.

Light adaptors
I drive it close to a wall on level ground. Where the beam flicks up, that's where you place the disc. I believe there is some general guidance in the packet? That gives you a good enough guide to where the spot will be.

Highest mileage
You regularly see them over +250k km on cheap exporter sites ready to spend the rest of their days in Africa.

Sourcing Parts and Reliability
Great cars and all engines are really good. Part supply is fairly simple, especially if you are using a garage who knows a little about them. Owners clubs can help too, I guess thats why you're here! Only thing that can be a little tricky is getting bigger body parts but these aren't things you would change day to day, you can hope that if you do need something like a wing, there is someone breaking one who can help.

Retro fit power to sliding door? Is it possible?
Not sure on a 20 series but on a 10 series its a huge job, rear glass etc needs to be removed.

CVT gearbox Questions
They aren't sealed for life gearboxes and do need servicing. Use genuine Toyota Fluid, plenty of guides online with regards to swapping the oil out. As for knocking it into N, i personally don't bother and keep in D with the footbrake on, my thinking being you're not moving and its moving less by not going back and forth into D, so its not causing any/or less damage. There is great youtube channel called Engineering Explained, he gives you the theory behind it.

Do all alphards have a rear screen?
No they don't. If you refer to a 10 series, they are rubbish anyway as the tech is so old, aftermarket ones are they way forward!

Hi, need some advice on ULEZ compliance.
Anything that's 06 onwards tends to be ok for ULEZ.

Undersealing Gen 2?
Nothing has changed, it needs to keep it in good shape. We do it on all ours in either clear or black (customers choice) on all cars. He is probably referring to the rubbish that comes over that is rusty and 'needs' underseal to hide the rust!

Front shock absorbers and drop link, anyone know where to source them?
Give JDM Car Parts Ltd a search on Facebook. Gary is great and holds most parts in stock.

what's it like to drive??
Vellfire feels great to drive, the feeling is more modern compared to the 10 series. Both engines are great, 3.5 is what we personally have and love it. Plenty of power but we’ve had plenty of 2.4, they are quite good on fuel and I quite like the cvt gearbox.
