Does anyone know how to go about removing the mirror from the rear spoilers? It's the last thing on my to-do list for the Alphard now the roof, rock and roll bed and floors all done. Cheers in advance!

Hi All, I'm after some advice about the best way to go about removing the seats and rails in my 1st Gen 2006 Alphard. I have sold them and the job for the weekend is to get them all removed along with the rails, I have got a rim removal set, socket set and spanner set which covers 3mm-14mm sockets and spanners. Any tips or tricks for removing these would be greatly appreciated such as the best way to approach, which ones to remove first and so on. Thanks in advance all! Cheers Mark

Do you still have these? -

No trouble mate, I'll get them up shortly. Are you just after the seats or the rails also?

Over the next few weeks I am going to be removing the middle seats, rear seats and rails from my 2006 7 seat Alphard to make way for a solid floor before I do the conversion. Bit of a long shot, is anyone after a set? I'll chuck some photos up of them later, they are the cream/beige colour and in darn good condition. I'm based in Salford, Manchester.

Hi All! Me and my partner are seriously considering getting our 2005 2.4 converted to LPG mainly due to the cost saving but also due to it being cleaner, greener and offers extended driving range with LPG and Petrol. Has anyone on here had experience with the STAG system? Can you recommend it or advise accordingly? I have been quoted £850 fitted from a firm in Deeside which seems a very good price considering I have been quoted £1200 for a PRINS system elsewhere. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks, Mark

Hi All! I am planning to attempt and fit a solid floor to our 2005 Alphard once I've removed all the seats and carpets once the clocks change at the end of March. I am wondering if anyone has done this and has any tips and tricks/do's and don'ts on doing this, I know there are multiple bolt points for the floor rails which would be good to utilise as I really don't want to screw into the metal floor. I know you need to use a product like Dodomat before laying a 12mm ply floor. Any help is greatly appreciated! Many thanks, Mark

That's awesome mate thanks. Exactly what I was after. How did you go about permanently attaching it to your Alphard? -

Cheap and cheerful awning?

This is also a useful link, outlines the data for the DVLA being even more useless than ever in terms of approving re-classification requests. https://climbingvan.co.uk/van-life/reclassifying-your-campervan-dvla/ In terms of a cheap and cheerfull sun canopy/awning rail... can you or anyone else recommend any? -
Cheap and cheerful awning?
Sparkie19 replied to Sparkie19's topic in Toyota Alphard Camper Discussions
Thanks for the heads up on this one. My understanding was that for it to be classed as a 'Motor Caravan/Home' in the DVLA/VOSA's eyes it had to meet the criteria outlined here; https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/registering-a-diy-caravan/converting-a-vehicle-into-a-motorhome Cheers for the heads up though. I was after something like this that would slide into a rail that's fixed to the side of the alphard. -
Hi there. We are after a cheap and cheerful awning solution for our Alphard. We've got a 2006 generation 1 mode. We've not getting it converted for a fair while but are prioritizing the pop-top roof to mean we can still use it to camp overnight on a site or in the wild. One thing we want is an awning so we can pop it up and sit under it if say the weather turned for example. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Cheers Mark

Hi there. We are waiting for our 2.4 Alphard to be ready for collection (Cheers DVLA for the delay) and something has just come to mind... Do the 2.4s have issue with the new E10 fuel? Or should you be using any additives? Granted, it's not going to be daily driven but once I've converted it we'll be away every weekend in it from March. Cheers

Hi there We have finally bought our first alphard and it has what I believe is a double din head unit. It also has a reversing camera so I'm unsure what head unit I need. Can anyone recommend a head unit and also someone up in the north west to fit one?

Thanks everyone. We've found a couple of quality 2.4 Alphards that are recently imported, we've also found a Drive Lodge fitter near to Manchester and a local conversion company that can all do it in Feb 2022, so I think we're going to bite the bullet. Can anyone else recommend what to look out for on a 2.4 2005/2006 when checking them out at dealers?

Hi All, I'm new here so please go easy on me. Me and my partner are in the process of finding our first Alphard. We are after a 2.4 Litre Petrol which we will get converted by Campervans4FunUK up in Macclesfield as they are local to us in Manchester. I have a few questions that I would greatly appreciate any insight on. What's the real world MPG of a 2.4 once converted with a full side conversion and pop-top. I have read 25-30 is realistic? Can anyone recommend an installer of a pop top roof so we can sleep upstairs? Any help is greatly apprecaited. Cheers Mark
