I recently replaced the control cable unit in my RH rear sliding door after the cable broke. Now it works but only partially. The door closes and locks but won't reopen using either inside or outside handles. I can open it with the dashboard button but it seems to be reluctant to release. And suggestions?

I followed the instructions in this post but the email address ap-overseas@mail.toyota.co.jp doesn't work any more. Does anyone else have an up to date email for Toyota japan
