  1. The 3.0l doesn't have a chain it's timing belt, I would get it changed if it hasn't been done. Get the water pump done at same time. Can you try and get the video of the sound working would help to point you in the right direction
  2. It could be the vvt cam it's been a problem on other Toyota engines, if the noise goes away after a couple of seconds. If the noise stays I would look at the idlers on the belts
  3. So when it does happen does it stay or is it a short rattle then gone. What mileage you at?
  4. Hi video doesn't work and is it at start up or all the time. There isnt anything special about the Alphard engines so no reason any good mechanic can't work on them
  5. Glad it was something simple and the fuses are a pain to get at. Use the fuse puller out of the fuse box in engine bay, makes it a little easier
  6. Is there any codes? There are lots of sensors on auto gearbox's. Do you have engine light on? What did the aa man say?
  7. Yes acf50 will wash off but it's so easy to use no mess at all, it's no real pain other then the cost lol it's something I've used on my motorcycles for the last 15yrs so know it works well
  8. Hi,I would spray acf50 in any hard to reach areas it will stop rust starting and stop any already there. It's not cheap but does work.
