Driveaway Awnings
We just managed to get a cayman air midi low for £300, used once and is pretty much immaculate. Probable going to go with a drive away magnetic strip and use the storm ties for extra support. Lots of very mixed reviews about the magnetic strips….

Our beast exists and currently is sitting about 25 miles from us! We’re just in the process of securing final funds and hopefully within the next two weeks she’ll be ours. Plan from then is around a 4 week turnaround for a basic side conversion. I never get excited to be honest, 26 years military service kind of gave me adrenaline overload, but for the first time in a long time, I’m actually buzzing! Already bought an awning, spoken to Ben Hau about the radio, planned a CB fit, got the insurance lined up. All ready to go!

Sometimes the simple answers are without doubt the best 😆- Vellfire thermal window blinds
Yet another potentially stupid question. Looking for thermal blinds, when searching seems that most of the search returns are Alphard, can someone please confirm if the window configuration is the same on both vehicles?- Happy new Alphard owner!
Looking very good, can’t wait to get hold of our Vellfire….- CB radio
Just need to watch if using in other countries with the frequency band you use. We have done the screwball rally many times and in the end it became so confusing crossing borders we all just stayed on UK frequencies 😆- Insurance Companies for Your Toyota Alphard

Has anyone fitted a CB radio? If so, where did you take power from. I’ve always piggy backed from the 12v socket fuse in the past, don’t have the van yet so not been able to investigate yet!- New Member
Welcome, we were in the same position as you! Good luck when the new arrival hits town, sure it will be brilliant..- Insurance Companies for Your Toyota Alphard

Thanks for that, I’ll try not to harass you again!- 2016 vellfire
Yet another potentially stupid question…..not got the van yet but took loads of pictures and I can’t see any sign of usb or audio ports. When Ben coverts is there some sort of physical add on that needs to be placed into the wiring loom to act as an interface? Apologies for going on, just keep thinking about things!- 2016 vellfire
Seems the issue is as soon as I mention conversion it becomes a problem, which is frustrating..- Insurance Companies for Your Toyota Alphard

Managed to get a decent quote with Adrian Flux for £440 for both of us…- 2016 vellfire
He was genuinely helpful with great info. Just struggling to insure now, tried Jap Cover and as soon as I mentioned conversion it was a straight ‘no’. Fun times ahead!- Insurance Companies for Your Toyota Alphard

Thanks for the reply. I managed to get hold of Ben Hau who was massively helpful. After sending pics of the head unit, it seems it’s a bit specialist with the loom and he didn’t think it could be changed but he could put car play on in about 2 hours. Asked about android auto and he said he couldn’t guarantee it as he has had a lot of issues with android. So once we get the van, we’ll be off to Birmingham!- 2016 vellfire
We’re just about to buy a 2010 Vellfire, keep seeing Ben Hau being mentioned and as far as I can work out, sorting the radio without changing the head unit? Any info would be very much appreciated!- Accidentally bought a vellfire today
We certainly hope so! - Vellfire thermal window blinds
