Hopefully there is someone locally who knows the area

Or this is this one to the south a bit in Clarkson country.

Campsites probably wouldn't like the idea of a mass gathering on their site but it'd be funny if a few dozen Camphards rocked up.

Invade, Love it... We have it floating acess the whole site, maybe I will edit my post to mention this

This seems to be the nearest large campsite to Gaydon with EHU. Maybe someone that's toured in the area will know better.

  3. 1. Would you be interested in attending a meet near Warwickshire in September?

Possibly, it's a bit far but I'd look if there are any good camper sites nearby.

    2. Do you have any ideas that could improve the meet?

Not off the top of my head apart from a club sticker.

    3. Would joining a convoy in interest you?

Probably if I was attending, be cool if someone on the ground got photos.

    4. Does show and shine competition interest you?

Don't know what it is but probably not.

    Now there lies a tale......

We order (prior to build) the 260 length awning they said they could fit to the van & paid accordingly.

Once we got home we realised the awning was just 180cm, wont go into details of the arguments we had, but they agreed to fit the max length they could, that would stay inside the pop top once closed which was 131 cm...better.

Sorry long answer to simple question, but yes it is, it has an extra 51cm extension added to fit.

Is 2.4m the max length that'll fit? I have my eye on the Reimo Palm Beach sunshade that seems to be 2.6m wide.

We had a 15m 'orange' cable supplied with the van, which has for 99% of the sites we have used, been more than adequate, however.....we have since bought a 25m cable in the 'blue', which is half the weight of the 15m, and had no issues with supply.

We bought the 25m one as we were on a CC site in the Lakes where we needed every inch of the 25m.

What we tend to do is ask the question of the site when booking, so we know which one to bring, but if were going to a CC site, will always take the 25m.

Golden rule is whatever length you have DO NOT COIL IT, spread it out as much as you can.

I| didn't know you could get lighter versions. Is the blue type compliant with most pitches?

stud things are to clip the curtain ties to..

The button near the power outlet is usually a way to send a handbrake signal to the headunit so that if thinks you are parked, and allows you to do things ordinarily blocked, such as adjust the bluetooth settings, display video on headunit.

    Doh!
    cheers.

  7. That's it in for the job. Going all black with the option to get them diamond cut at a later date if I'm not happy.

The firm doing it is run by a bloke that moved here from Australia a few years ago and he's worked on lots of Alphies back there. Says they are renowned for having 'Japanese Butter Bolts' that shear off easily if the correct torque isn't done accurately.

Massively useful info, so sounds like 10m would be fine for most campsites, and that feels quite a distance from a hook up point. I think most run at 16 amps but some saying that some of the 1.5 cables will only take 15 amps which can cause problems. A couple of the motorhome sites saying some campsites won’t let you use 1.5, but I really can’t imagine girth inspectors wandering around………

I've read it's always better to have it too long than short when you need it obviously, but I've found so far that maybe 8-10m would be ample for most pitches I've been on, albeit that's only 5 different campsites. I'm thinking of splitting mine in half and although it'd be even heavier when together, I think I'd get away with half length most of the time.

  9. I hate mine, it weighs an absolute ton and I havnt needed it to be as long as it is yet. I think it 15m and I might get a 5m one for easier use but then I know I'll book a pitch that needs a massive one.

Regarding girth, everyone seems to use the super heavy orange cable and that's the limit of my electrical knowledge.

Good afternoon, just back from holiday and tried to order a black flannel dash cover. Went through the system, but as soon as I put into shipping to the UK it sais that the seller did not ship to the UK. If you managed to order from this company, how do you get around this. Thanks Gruf

The seller on Ali was called global automobile parts store.
