Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) for gen 1 and 2
By the way in my experience there is a down side to this..moment you tell insurance company there are any modifications, even if making the car safer, they seem to merrily screw and jack up the premium..π

Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) for gen 1 and 2
Looks like Gen 1 and 2 don't have Daytime Running Lights DRLs factory fitted. They are good for visibility and safety, so retro fitting then seems sensible. I did that to my car (not jdm) and it was not expensive either. They are bullet proof being led, come on automatically (wired such) have been magnificent (7 years use). Has anyone installed DRLs to their van? Please share experiences, cost, led model make, position of lights, pics etc..

MEGATHREAD - All things LPG ππ
Position of LPG filling point on the car often seems to be quite awkward and low. I hope I can get it fitted on side of the car at same height as petrol cap. Not best to have to go on knees every time need refill π§

Dry ice cleaning services
Guys anyone tried dry ice cleaning under their vans? Any experience, cost estimates etc to share? I Googled there are many in UK, I could see many like dryicecleaning, polardryicecleaning, kaercher etc. Before undersealing it will make so much sense to clean all nooks and corners with this if price is not atrocious. Also eco / no chemical / no water!

Toyota Firmware update for Alphards/Vellfires?
That's why I'm thinking jdm market might be getting these if we have the VPN and chassis number ready. I might ask for help to some Japanese professor I know as this might need language

I used them, as you can see in obsessed about looking after the car, and these didn't fall off. I'd say they do work. Garage guys misplaced some of them. Annoying

Toyota Firmware update for Alphards/Vellfires?
Looks like Toyota provides Audio Multimedia System Updates (firmware updates/patches) for limited models, link below. Has anyone done the same downloading JDM updates? Might need VPN and/or give Japanese chassis number? Wonder if Chris might have come across? https://www.toyota.com/firmware-updates

"silicone wheel nut cover" search in any decent seller site. These protect the alloy wheel nuts and make them look nice too(subjective!). Cheap and cheerful addition.

Have LPG Underslung tank?
Toyota also do an OEM puncture repair kit that seems neat (in theory) but don't have personal experience as Alp/Vell are big, heavy 2000kg+, 8 seater vans. Would be good to know some practical experience. These kits need a fluid bottle (liquid to seal tyre) per flat tyre and have an expiry date, so if heading on long road trip, might be worth getting at least couple of bottles and always checking the expiry dates. Not putting any link for these kits but google / ebay / amazon as you please.

Toyota repair kit and Alphards / Vellfire - suitable?
So basically the original question that MPVs heavy and 8 seater, can also potentially use these products. I will continue my reserch into the topic and share my finding but encouraged so far that it is not a 'no-go zone' for Alphards

READ ME FIRST for all new joiner
Welcome new joiners, it might benefit new joiners if they are given some pointers / instructions when they join. - Like the number of internal messages is limited to maximum 5 per day. - Be careful when posting direct ebay product links as these can be seen as advertising. Any addresses containing /itm/ are frowned upon. I am sure there might be other important bits to be aware of, I like to invite moderators and admin to add to this thread or pointers. Cheers Teekay

Toyota repair kit and Alphards / Vellfire - suitable?
Thanks Admin, thats helpful, as I plan to manage without spare tyres, all this will go to top of potential shopping list I have posted ebay links and got in so much trouble getting warned / points etc. Confused what is the deal with ebay link? Usually I try to remove everything other than the item code - I am not going to benefit from any way. It will good if a clarification is posted / some rules for forum that we can refresh/remind ourselves

Toyota repair kit and Alphards / Vellfire - suitable?
Many Toyotas these days don't have any spare tyres, but the car comes with a puncture repair kit (basically a pump and liquid bottle that seals the puncture). Alphards and Vellfires are obviously fitted with spare tyre, at least Gen 1&2. Does anyone know if these puncture repair kits are suitable for beastly vans? Example EBAY LINK By the way this might be of particular interest if anyone thinking about lpg conversion and remove the spare tyre for fitted spare gas cylinder.

Wheel nuts for Alphard
Hi Rojie are these likely to be also suitable for gen 2? I've seen many Toyota OEM locking nuts on eBay but not sure if the sizes will be right? Need to look into the details. I would normally give oem preference unless know the aftermarket are higher spec
