  1. Toyota Alphard, 3.0L Petrol. Owned for 2 months - bought for a European road trip over this summer. After a 2,000 mile test drive round, happy to say all is good. Prior to leaving on the trip 'Alfie' had a full service, including Cabin, Oil and Air filter changes. AC check & recharge. I also added a new battery, new front nearside tyre and had a full mechanical inspection carried out. Now we're back, we don't have room for 3 cars, so reluctantly need to let it go as the Kids absolutely love it. The car has an adjustable Coilover suspension set-up, it's slightly lower at the front to give it a more aggressive poise. I'm told it's easy to adjust - just need to go to the right garage with the right equipment and can adjusted, I was concerned about taking a lowered vehicle to Italy given the roads & ferries etc but all was fine. Other information: Approx 80,000 miles (still being used) TRD Racing Alloys and Full TRD Body Kit. Revolving rear seats - can change configuration to suit your passengers. Duel Twin Exhaust - sounds like a lovely soft V8 burble Car has been undersealed to protect against any rust or corrosion. 20" Rims with anti-theft bolts ELECTRIC side doors, just tap and they open/close Red Calipers. All internal lights have been replaced with LEDs. All front and rear lights have been replaced with LEDs. Front and rear parking cameras. Lane assist. DVD Player 16 speaker sound system with Subwoofer 6 CD Changer Rear Moon Roof Rock & Tile front Sunroof Limo glass all round Leisure battery in rear with two 1000w charging points. 2 Keys Drivers Manual Loads of receipts and other bits. The previous owner has put red rim protectors on the alloys, these have marked the edge of the alloy wheels. I'm aiming to replace the rim protectors prior to purchase, however, an alloy wheel refurb would probably be better and more of a long-term solution. There are a couple of dings on the paintwork about 5p size from car doors. The front bumper is quite low and has a small crack on it. It is easily repairable. Brilliant car, it's a great head turner and will be sad to see it go. Price: £8,500
  2. All good with the install, it is a couple of cms smaller than the tray but firmly enough in place. Thanks for your help.
  3. Thanks for the advice, I’ll double check before purchasing tomorrow. Cheers mate
  4. Thanks for your comments, yes, had thought the Yuasa was the best fit after my research tonight, due to the seemingly odd dimensions on the battery tray which are around 3cms shorter than almost everything else you can get! Halfords are offering a 65ah and 620a for around £86 , so will pick one up very soon. thanks again
  5. Went out to the Alphie today and failed to start, admittedly had been on the driveway a week without moving but thought I would check battery as recently purchased. Surprised to see a July 2015 sticker on the battery - well past it's best, so would like to replace it. I have looked on the standard battery sites (i.e. Halfords, ECS) but getting used to 'this model has not been found' due to it being an import and getting a little confused on what to get. I wondered if anyone had a link to a battery that they could recommend? Sticker of current battery is attached below. Thanks in advance for any help Richard
  6. Thanks Stephen, will do. We're headed to just outside Pisa + 3 kids, with an overnight stopover near the Swiss border. Hoping that petrol prices continue to fall and we don't get caught up in Dover on the way out.... will let you know how we get on.
  7. Took a bit of a punt, but worked out well. Picked up car last month for a road trip to Italy next month. Fantastic family vehicle and now planning on keeping for a while. Even my kids say it’s cool.
