i took what was easy to remove  around lower centre consul to check blend actuator and that was working fine. 

I think the problem for me was just stuff in the back piled up around rear vents under seats that  seemed to  shut off the front heat

First time I have been out in my Alph when it’s been cold - turned on the fan and turned temp up - rear heating is working , but front will only blow cold air . Anyone able to help me resolve the problem

Vehicle is in excellent condition inside and out - 91825 klm  ( 57057miles)

.Serviced and Mot'd on 29th September ( only advisories two front tyres cracking on walls)-  full set of 4 Firestone tyres filled 4th October 23- When purchased had wax underseal, speed dial changed to read mph/klm-  android system/reversing camera fitted- converted to LPG  ( still under guarantee, A/C gas refilled-  twin sunroofs -private plate.   2set of keys  (1-4way with fob-  1 transponder and 2 way fob )    Exempt from low emission charge in all cities where applied- DVLA issued new log book showing bi fuel.

AA inspection welcomed for peace of mind  asking £10500.  

That’s High even for London - my wife has 5 years no claims bonus (protected) and fully comp - £457 from Admiral. Must admit insurance has gone  up , last year with same company was only £307  - 

I Insure my Alphard  trough my wife ( as already have main car via myself ). She has 5 years protected no claims and is currently insured with Admiral  until Aug (waiting renewal notice). Last year her  premium was £367.   - went on the other day comparison  site. Hasting direct essentials. Quoted. £ 383  - try.  Them and

HI , once you transfered the inners into your new 4 way key case , you need to program the transponder chip in order for the ignition to work- I purchased a  OB2D Toyota Smart Key Maker  ( cost £13 on Ebay) which is used to program the transponder in a chipped key. You insert the device into the OB2D port (sited under the panel  drivers side)  you hear a short bleep, insert the new key and turned it to second position ( do not turn again as if to start the engine)  you will hear another  short beep  then it goes silent, after about a minute or so  then you will hear a long beep  - remove the device from the OB2D port  (  do not on any account leave it in) then turn  the key off and back to the  second position 4-5 times. in quick succession remove the key and reinsert and start your engine - that's  all it takes  and your key is programmed all under two minutes.      PLEASE NOTE  these smart key makers only work on Toyota's who's  original key have a small dot on the base of the key  , otherwise you will mess up your system.  The new transponder key you order wont have a dot on it but the transponder they have in it, is the right one for your vehicle .

Hi just for information for anyone in the north west. I contacted Gastech in Warrington who sell Alphard's as well as doing LPG conversions and servicing/repairs  ( Its where I got mine conversion done)  They can program the the key (I obtained off Ebay) for £40  - 

That's good to know,  would they need access to you vehicle to obtain  the code to program the  key?

You can buy the 4D67 chip blank keys from ebay.

Getting them programmed is less easy.

 

If you are local to me I can suggest an auto locksmith, about 100 pounds to program the new key.

Anyone can cut the key, but it needs programming otherwise it won't work with the immobiliser.

 Hi , I,m in the same situation with only one master key- I  bought on Ebay a duplicate key and then had it cut. ( key an cutting £20).  From discussions on here  lies the problem you then have to pay a locksmith to program it at cost I have been searching  ebay  and came across the smart keymaster ( for Toyota vehicle's only  ( cost circa £12 ) and also looked at various videos on you tube  how to use and programme, all of which were very simple- What must be stressed its only for Keys that have a dot the key blade ( found on the base ) . its only designed to start your ignition and wont program the other function buttons on the key ( e. lock and open doors etc)  However, if you only need the security of having a second key, this sounds ideal, as you can lock and open your vehicle using the separate fob . IT  does come with warnings that you must have right key or it can mess up the security system on your vehicle.     For members who are more technically savvy than me your thoughts and opinions would be gratefully appreciated before I venture forward.

hi  my Alphard had a panasonic  stero unit when I bought it . I had the unit replaced with an Eonon android unit which included rear camera, It cost £500 including fitting (including camera)  With regard the sat nav, although you can use google maps and others I downloaded Tom Tom go  cost £19.75 renewable annually.  Trust this will assist.

I take on board what you say ,most things are open to fraud, but when  I had my vehicle converted  by an approved installer it was registered on the online official lpg conversion site. I sent the certificate and warranty with my log book to Dvla to change it to read bi fuel. With that you would have thought the local authorities would exempt your vehicle. But I dare say in the end they just want the money.  If you think about it they say they want clean air but they will forgo that if you pay.

Checked online and pleased to find out that my 2007 2,4ltr  is exempt  from the ultra low emissions charges .  What i find unacceptable/  its based  on the age of your vehicle and even if you had it converted to LPG  it wouldn't be exempt, even though you would have easily met the omissions criteria.

Crowdstorm on Ebay for 10-20 series  £25

I have heard before ,people saying a 2.4 ltr is underpowered, but this is not my experience . I bought my 2007 2.4ltr in July and found it pulled and accelerated fine, even after I had an LPG conversion. It overtakes without a problem always feels as there is plenty in reserve  if needed. On a motorway I cruise doing 50-70mph, mind you when I take this out I am in no particular rush to get anywhere🙂

As for reliability touch would encountered no problems with engine so far.

I have taken off the complete set of black imitation leather seat coverings all in good condition if anyone  is interested

Comparing prices from internet, Vista value cars  ( where I purchased mine from)  I found to be the cheapest . Gastech  were around £1000 higher for like for like spec and year,

Gastech are also a conversion specialist for LPG and  provide repairs  and servicing.
