  1. Hi, I had the awning fitted by Hill View Awnings. It took them around an hour to install but 24 for the adhesive sealer to set before we could use it. The brackets are screwed on with the sealer behind and around the mounts. Hope that helps.
  2. Hi my 2005 alphard with pop top on 17" wheels 70 series tyres and a thule side awning which is a little taller than the pop top goes in car parks with a 2.1 metre height as that's the height of our underground parking space. I've only had trouble getting in one car park and that was the local hospital.
  3. I don't believe that there is one due to the plastic lip at the top of the door. That means the securing straps would be fixed to or over the plastic. So not very secure, the best option would be a tow bar bike rack. I think the thule is version lowers to allow boot opening.
  4. I have a tow bar fitted on our 2005 camper, and carry a thule luggage box on it. This seemed to make the rear low, so I fitted up rated rear springs. It now sits level and drives far smoother ( less forward / back rocking).
  5. I fitted EBC greenstuff brake pads. A lot better feel but quite a lot more brake dust.
  6. Well Wiltshire isn’t far from Dorset. Have a look at Hill view awnings. https://www.hillviewawnings.co.uk/
  7. Following on with this post I have had a Thule Ornmistor fitted to my 2005 Alphard. It takes the overall night to just over 2m so can go in most car parks without issues. We have found it easy to use and a god send on short breaks. On our longer breaks when using our Olpro drive away we use the Thule to attach the kaddor. it was fitted by Hill View Awnings down in Dorset. Hope this helps some in decision making.
  8. Hi everyone, hoping I’ve done the right thing. I’ve just bought a 2005 alphard in silver camper conversion with pop top, side conversion with a rock and roll bed, solar power on the roof as well. I’m coming from a 2018 Range Rover Evoque HSE Dynamic so hoping I won’t be too disappointed with anything. Had a test drive and all seemed good and comfy. Paid the deposit and picking it up next weekend. Looking forward to quizzing other owners on using , driving and general ownership. Thanks in advance Mark
