Mine is also a 2005 face-lift model and I have seen a good post on this site with fuse locations so will check that out again for clarification on where the fuses for the lights are.....the strip i have is also designed to do indication flashes too so needs a bit of further investigation on how that will be achieved too.
-
Ahh.....so when I find out which fuse supplies the lights....I can tap that for the under bonnet LED light strip.
-
That's the ones I mean.....I was wondering whether to use these fit the LED light strip but thinking about it..... I'm not sure that the light would only come on when the lights were turned on or just the ignition.....I think it may be the case that the strip will be powered when the ignition is turned on.
-
Has anyone used fuse taps for adding things like LED light strips. Is this an option or best to tap into the wiring itself at the lights?

I'm looking at replacing the front fog bulbs with LED and hoping for recommendations from members that have replaced theirs.

Thats how it reads Roger....the other car will give an insurance payout and they are left with the current unconverted Alphie that they are not too happy with, that has niggly bit and pieces.

Than you for the informative replies. We have just joined the Caravan and motorhome club and looking forward to some summer breaks using their sites 👍

Has anyone got suggestions/recommendations for a reputable Motorhome/Campervan club.
For the most part, joining one of these can save more than the cost of the annual fee and just wondering what people's thoughts/experiences are on this subject.

I would not be at all surprised if the blinking odometer is a result of tampering with the figure..... adjusting/resetting is illegal and probably why it started blinking after the alteration.

I agree with Setuffo that there must be something about the rail causing this issue

When it's been sticking have you de-selected the power door button on the dash?

I also have the buttons on the driver's door and tailgate .....pressing these activates only locking the van for me. If already locked the buttons don't unlock the van but holding the handle does.

Hi Michael....I'll need to check the details of the head unit I have to see if it's compatible for digital
-
The reception for the radio on the new head unit is not optimal as it is currently utilising the in built antenna in the rear side window. Has anyone got suggestions for a better replacement and where it can be positioned. We have a pop top roof.

FAO Roger.....I checked out page 14 of the manual and followed instructions to unlock doors when P is selected....works a treat now thanks for that. My wife no longer needs to unlock the door to get out as selecting P unlocks them all 👍👍

We also bought an Outdoor Revolution Cayman ...combo air low and was extremely impressed by it. Just bought the zip on porch door and inner cabin tent for our next weekend away with 2 of the grandkids

Hi Roger.....I have the JPNZ manual and the head unit I have is Android 8227L.
I have been looking through the manual but just not seeing how to configure the auto locking
-
Can anyone advise me on how to stop the passenger door from having to be unlocked after the vehicle has been in motion. Having to use the unlock / lock button is a pain instead of just using the normal handle like any regular car does.

Hi Alasdair, good to read yours and Rojie's posts. Re the tailgate struts - I just looked at what is listed on epc-data.com and for my 2002 MZ-G 3.0 they list quite a number of possible struts - which suggests they may have been improved over time - you would need to look into that more closely, but the price of each strut no matter which part number is no more than U.S. $ 110, and then of course you have to add import duties and shipping for UK. Not even sure which ones are electric open/close but you would need to examine yours for part numbers etc.
Worth just looking at to see if there are other options - see https://toyota.epc-data.com/alphard/mnh10w/131183/body/6762/68960/
I bought a part from Amayama who operate the website, they packed it well and were very reliable and professional - shipped to me from Japan. Just a thought.
That's great information thank you 👍👍
