  1. Hi all, I am desperate to get the diagnostics on my transmission on 2004 Alphard read. i can't find anyone locally how has the software/hardware. Please, can anyone out there help me? I'm in LEAMINGTON SPA and currently unable to move the vehicle. I have an excellent mechanic willing to take it in ... but he wants diagnostic read out first. is there anyone who can help, or recommend people I can try to contact???
  2. Hi my lovely alphas started to seem like clutch was slipping badly. Called out RAC for a tow to garage and strangely drove fine except for pulling off where I had to apply a lot of gas and it suddenly jolted forward... after that was perfect. now it's back to not engaging gears properly. i need to give them the specific transmission oil needed for a change. what is the Toyota recommended oil needed? and also any one have ideas of the problem going on here? on Friday reverse was almost impossible, today the garage says reverse only gear working well?!?
  3. What fluid is needed? Fully synthetic or not?
  4. @Picasso which firm in cov?
  5. I have been searching for someone to replace my Alphard engine. I need to be able to trust them to get a decent engine, fit it well and not add extra costs on as they do it. So I am desperate to try to find trustworthy professionals who know their stuff on alphards. so if anyone has used Nippon Auto Spares, please share your experience. I m based in Warwickshire by the way if anyone has other recommendations...
  6. It's gone. There's a hole in the bottom of it now
  7. Just got home with RAC... engine went in fast lane of motorway. I love my Alphard so much, I am now in bits. I don't know whether trying to find a new engine and a mechanic to fit it (plus towing it to garage) is really worth it or if I should try to find a slightly lower mileage one in auto trader (perhaps with lpg to save on fuel) for around £5K - would much appreciate genuine advice? Any costings on replacing engine or where to source... any vital warnings or things to avoid/look out for? I am still in shock tbh... I attach a pic of the underside of engine after the event happened.😢

  9. Hi there, I am looking to get a roof tent for my Alphard. (2006) it's not a camper conversion - but I still love it! now many recommend these non "invasive" roof rack solutions: https://www.roofracksgalore.com.au/prorack-standard-through-bar-silver-2-bar-roof-rack-for-toyota-alphard-5dr-mpv-with-bare-roof-2002-to-2008-gp06k3f9h would these be ok with a roof tent? I really need advice from any of you who know! chris - thanks in advance
