  1. If the dash lights are going off when you try to start it then there is a major voltage drop, if your battery is more than 5yrs old then it could have a faulty cell, check all terminals are clean & tight on the battery, starter and the solenoid, if you can start it with a battery off another car then you know that yours is kaput
  2. No need hold the window switches, just lower the window all the way down at each door then raise it all the way up, no need to flick the switch and no particular sequence for doing them, the reset allows the windows to be open/closed from the drivers door. Have you checked the fuses in passenger side fuse box, No. 19/7.5Amp (Welcab), No. 6/30Amp Power Seat
  3. The fuel pump has a filter to catch debris and once fuel is added most of the debris will get washed off the filter, all petrol tanks have some debris in them. I know about E10, it should also not be used if the vehicle runs mostly on LPG, as for damage to the fuel system japan have been using it since 2000 I prefer to know how many miles I have left once the warning light comes on rather than rely on an arbitrary figure that is only good for when the vehicle is new, so once the level is low enough to trigger the warning I know I have approximately X amount of fuel/miles left in the tank, but I always fill up well before that
  4. Best way to check is carry a 5litre jerry can with you, then when the light comes on make a note of the mileage and just drive it round until it runs out, you will then have a ball park figure, I'm sure I have seen a figure of 5litres left when the light comes on so that makes for 65litres haveing been used
  5. Some models do have a bronze tint, if they are cloudy then you can polish them clear
  6. check at bottom of door where the lock pulls it in also at back of door half way up, it might need cleaning/greasing
  7. Your lucky I still have the panel off on my Gen1, the reversing light wire colours are; + red/black line, - white/black line
  8. You will need to contact the firm that fitted the units or at least the maker of the fridge. Owners manuals are availble on ebay or amazon. Tyre pressures on a camper should be 38psi, advise you google the 4psi rule and follow the directions and adjust the pressures accordingly
  9. Do a Google search for PCT Towbars
  10. have a look on ebay or aliexpress.com but you will need to have it programmed to the ecu
  11. No, handles are only above the other doors, if you look you can see that the handles fit into a recess in the roof lining
  12. This one does work . https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/155583959123
  13. They could possible do with a clean, the rear centre only works when you are reversing, another thing to look for is the connectors behind the bumper
  14. What you need is a scanner with the JOBD proocol e.g. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/293956397780
  15. Yes I know that, I did not say they were Maintence Manuals. Torq2u wanted to know about the seats and that info is in the manual along with other useful info
  16. You have to remove the head rests from all of the seats, slide the seats as far forward as they will go then pull the recliner lever and push the backrests backwards as far as possible, if you get an owners manual off ebay or amazon it has lots of useful info in it including the seats
  17. Yes, check out PCT Towbars they are the best and I think the only company makeing one for an Alphard
  18. The stop is there to prevent the seat coming to far forward and thus stopping the drivers seat from moving backwards for leg room
  19. Check for your model in the link then in the subsection , https://www.amayama.com/en/catalogs/toyota/alphard
  20. Which sensor, there are 4, one for external temp, one for the front heating/cooling, one for the rear heating/cooling, then there is one for the coolant temperaure
  21. Look on ebay for Alps being broken for spares then contact the vendor about selling you one, small items are not usually listed for sale
  22. Reducing is clocking it's illegal
  23. The seat belt warning light is also flashing, so fasten seat belts start it up and try again if odometer still flashes then you could have a loose connection on the back or the ecu is faulty, has the speedo been checked for accuracy, when engine is running is it only the odometer that is flashing and does the eml go off
  24. The whole mechanism has to be replaced as the cable is not available separately, look on ebay for sliding door cable assembly. what happens is the plastic outer covering on the cable gets brittle and breaks off and jams the pulleys and motor, if cleaning the runners does not make it easier then if you cut the cable where it runs in the channel under the rear quarter window it will release the tension and allow the door to be opened/closed manually
  25. Yes too much bother or not enough knowledge, the reader has 2 wires, one is for the aerials the other is 12v + & -, don't cut that one as you can use it to power usb sockets for phone chargeing
