  1. Yes i also agree, always great to know that there are some happy chappies out on the road but not enough, too many road ragers with no courtesy for others, well done forum members.
  2. Thanks Rojie be happy to help Chris out, d is 5th or overdrive if you like. Going round 'country lanes is no problem, if you would like to get in touch Chris be more than happy to help out.
  3. Hi i have taken my 3ltr alphie to renoult, pergeot and citroen garage on the Portreath road from Redruth, they did my service, changed the cam belt and water pump and very reasonable. save you the treck to Bodmin. best of luck
  4. Hi again all, i have unfortunately decided to give up my lovely 2006 [56 plate ] alphard 3ltr v6, 8 seater, due to ill health. Its been a very reliable friend since having her brought over from Japan, will be putting her through m.o.t at end of September plus service. If anyone is interested in purchasing or know of someone who might be interested, please get in touch via forum. Have details of past history in Japan translated into English with CarVX
  5. Thanks for info Andrea
  6. Thank you guys for input i would also wish you the best of luck with the cruise control, i would also like to know how much the job cost, lot of difference between pricing, for £7. 95 i would have a go myself. Fuel consumption going down, caching bonus. Thanks John for your input 😄
  7. Thanks for the very useful information Paul, well worth remembering.
  8. my 2006 alphy 3ltr has only one elecric door the other non electric sliding, went to open one day and the handle broke completely off, toyota main dealers say that its not just the handle, but the internal fixings which fix onto the external handle need renewing also, yet i contacted nippon auto spares and was told by them that only need handle and any qualified mechanic can fit the handle which would cost very little to fit, keep you updated.
  9. hi david i find that nippon auto spares of derby very helpful and excellent service and delivery is super quick as well phone-01332293399, best of luck
  10. Thanks guys im a bit wiser now,
  11. Many thanks Rojie and what does the obd stand for?
  12. Hi please excuse my ignorance, but would someone explain to me what an ancel jp700 automotive and also jdm vehicles. Thanks
  13. thanks for your ideas, all good food for thought, will certainly be getting my tooth brush out and wax and water.
  14. Hi Alan, im sorry because im a little bit confused, but im sure you will put us right, the price charged £246. 95, was for Admiral insurance, or V.R.T. If it is the insurance price i think we will all go over to Admiral! As was mentioned by one of our coligues about only doing a couple of thousand miles a year, i dont do much more than that myself, but as alphies are a fantastic vehicle to drive and spacious i wouldnt be without her, they are expensive to keep on the road admitedly and im sure all of the forum members will agree with me, especially the ones who have their alphies converted.
  15. hope you can get it sorted mate
