  1. Just a reference note, my 2008 3.5L AWD Vellfire VL has factory radar cruise, so was possible option on non-hybrids
  2. Limited Update I've sifting through all the wiring diagrams I can find, and it appears the IPA ECU shares Canbus, GVIF and AVC bus connections to the head unit. I've never seen AVC bus support mentioned on an Android head unit, so that may be challenging. On a related note, I've been working through the 18 speaker theatre sound setup, and the so called canbus/most adapters for Android head units. From what I can tell these adapters only use a stereo output from the Android head unit to drive things, not the full 5.1. I've certainly not seen one that does better. If anyone has spotted a better one I'd like to here about it. Hopefully start to do some limited signal/protocol analysis next week.
  3. Still researching..it looks like there are quite a few different comms channels used by toyota, not just canbus.. will be interesting. Gradually assembling hardware, have a dudoauto android head unit, plus factory amp retainer, and the GVIF to RCA adapter, but first I will need to analyze whats going on in the existing system. Have a range of protocol analyzers available, just need time to pull the passenger seat and find time to investigate, probably over xmas. Will update with any findings.
  4. Chris, Any idea whether the missing control signals are on the GVIF i/f or I imagine there might be a canbus link somewhere?
  5. Had my GGH25 nearly two weeks now, and have realized it has the Intelligent Parking Assist function (in Japenese unfortunately). I have the 18 speaker stereo and head unit, so no easy switch to English as far as I know. (OEM head unit is the BT-013A with DVD/CD/TV and minidisc) My primary question about the ECU is does anyone know whether the Japanese text/speech for the cameras/IPA comes directly from the ECU or is provisioned when it hits the head unit? I come from a computer tech background so considering whether I can get this working into another head unit.
