  1. It really depends on which model you have. What ive found after tons of research on mine is that the electronic connections to the screen are necessary for the most/amplifier to work properly. The pin 1/2 bypass thing did not work for me as it wouldnt recognize that there was something plugged in and wouldnt switch to external input. The head unit wiring goes somehow to the screen first then to the amplifier. My idea was to just switch to a newer 3rd party screen but it would mean basically needing to bypass the amplifier and going all the way aftermarket. The amplifier sounds really good in my opinion, so I opted to just not worry about the screen. Buying a couple tablets would be cheaper than a screen anyway
  2. Hey! So I setup the pinout and have my android recognized there's a second screen, but for the life of me I can't get the rear screen to go into tv or aux mode. It opens to a display that shows "am fm DVD hdd" but none of the buttons on the remote will take me to a mode where I can see the aux input. Not sure what that's all about. Any ideas?
  3. Wondering if anyone in here would know. I connected the rear screen to my new head unit with methods I found in the forum; the screen opens and works with the remote, but i cannot get it to tv mode; or to play anything besides the menu that shows DVD, hdd, am, fm. Most of the other buttons on the remote work to take me to screen settings etc. But cannot for the life of me get it into input mode from the aux or rca line. I've got a 2009
  4. Can you please send me the wiring diagrams as well? I'm stuck on a couple last things.
  5. Hey! Glad you figured it all out. Can you possibly do a little post with a once over/list on what all you purchased that actually worked? Do you have links? Reading through the forum is a bit confusing on how exactly you reached the end lol.
  6. Hey! Thanks for the info, i'm in the same boat as op, just won a bid on my Alphard (09 350s Prime). I'm looking around and seeing a ton of options, even different sized clips, etc. They don't make it very precise. Does anyone know of an actually full kit that has actually installed it in their own vehicle and can link to the right one?
