  1. Hey. I don't have a multimeter to test if it's live. Might be able to with a friend later today. I took this pic of the back of the block; it splits into the red wire which goes into a harness into the dash and the blue which connects to an RCA connector. I apologise upfront for my ignorance into what all of these are for. I'm trying to figure it all out 😁
  2. Hi My 10 Series came with an old aftermarket Android Head Unit which I'm swapping out. All going fairly well. As the existing unit already has the GPS and USB cables run, I'm hoping to leave them in place saving me from having to remove much of the dash (fingers crossed). I did notice that this wire seems to have come loose from it's connector; but I can't be sure. Can anyone help me confirm if this is the case? Also, with the old unit, the steering controls weren't working. Any info on what should be connected to get them to work would be most appreciated 🙏
  3. Hi I'd love the AC for my AH10 please. It's currently only blowing ambient air out.
  4. Hi Got my first Alphard (2008 G 2.4) yesterday and love it. However, on the drive home the front vents stopped blowing hot air. While it's not freezing cold, it made it a chilly drive home. The rear vents still produced lovely warm air. It may have started when I pushed the 'REAR' button, which did get stuck in when I pushed it. I was able to 'unpush' it by digging it out with my nail. But this may also be unrelated... Any tips on what could have gone wrong to stop the warm air out of the front vents? TIA
  5. That makes total sense. Thank you. I just assumed 'first registered' meant in the UK. I'm going to do the CarVX report, just for peace of mind. But I'm starting to get excited! Thanks both.
  6. Hi all I'm hopefully buying my first Alphard tomorrow! The car is with a dealer and looks great in the ad (given it's age). It's a couple hours drive away, so I haven't been able to see the car for myself yet though. Been doing some final checks and have noticed that it only has MOT history for the last couple years. It was first registered in 2008 but the first MOT only seems to be in April 2023: https://www.check-mot.service.gov.uk/results?registration=FA08KLD&checkRecalls=true I've also done a full https://www.carcheck.co.uk/ report on it. It doesn't appear to have changed reg since first registration. Which seems be be cause of missing MOTs (according to various other forums). So, I'm wondering why would a car have such a long period between registration and it's first MOT? Is this something to worry about? Thanks in advance.
