  1. One way to find out if it's actually the t.v is the problem is to test it by bridging those wires. If it works then there's your problem. It's an expensive replacement and if I'm wrong and it's a speaker that's causing the issue or something else then you'd be at a loss. Are you still able to put the screen down through the radio?
  2. No, this is a fix to get only your audio back. What happens is over time condensation and normal ware of the components within the t.v unit stops working and hence it breaks a circuit within the amplifier, when this happens it causes the amplifier to think there is a fault within the whole system, speakers last longer and the first to go are the t.v units. So yes this is a common occurrence and fault with these systems. Apart from that this is the knowledge I have gathered ever since this has happened to me. Cheers and I hope this works for you.
  3. Steps to remove the head unit is 1.Remove trim surrounding the t.v unit 2.remove the 4 shiny bolts and and lower t.v unit down. 3. Locate and bridge brown connector as stated in the video. You can do this by using spare wires and just bridge them from the plug (female) side and ensure it is secured. 4.test and see if they work 5. Out everything back and you should be sweet.
  4. Have a read throughout this post I reckon it would have a similar fix.
  5. I live in np and was there for about a week searching scrap yards. I found a couple down south auck, national car removal and car parts Ltd, JCP Parts had vehicles but the conditions were questionable. It's worthing having a gander as you're up there, maybe you'd probably find us a solution 🫡
  6. Heck yea bro. I found a couple at scrap yards but I'm just worried it won't be worth it. I'm thinking of doing a aftermarket one.
  7. You can slide the pins out the back bro. I found out after I cut mine 🫡
  8. I have done this and it works temporarily while I'm waiting for the replacement roof monitor. Have a look at my video and follow the instructions bro and you'll save a headache. Condensation occurs at the top of the vehicle a lot and this is a downfall of having a roof monitor over time it will bug out. https://youtu.be/ULzf8bRF3rc?si=L90uk_OeD-4uwyU3
  9. You sir are a a legend. I stumbled upon this thread and if I hadn't I was going to spend up to $8k or even more on trying to fix the problem. I was even close to purchasing an amplifier part # 86280-58090 but couldn't find the specific amp and there was one place in nz that could order it for $4.5k. I'm so greatful for you awesome bunch and I pray that God blesses you all with your hearts needs. Ps I own a 2012 Toyota vellfire 3.5 v6 with the 18 speakers. Thankyou thankyou thankyou thankyou From fiji to the world! Oh io 20250108_181843.mp4
