Hi all,

 

Im trying to remove a Japanese aftermarket alarm system, from my web searches it looks like  a "Carmate super barracuda" system it had what looked like a remote start box, plus other ancillaries, i've managed to remove all the ancilliries but have now come to a halt with this SQ3000 unit, when i remove the plug i cannot start the car, so assuming its the immobilizer unit as well. i am looking to have a Cat1 alarm fitted so would like it gone. can anyone point me in the right direction to removing it please.

from your facebook post. I think it's tied to the immobiliser. I would check the wiring and see where else it goes tbh.

 

Send some pic's of the wiring connections to the barrel and if any in the engine bay.

All sorted now, there was another plug and socket hidden up, all removed,
