Kornus Posted January 28, 2022 Posted January 28, 2022 Hello All Just got my Vellfire delivered last night I am new here and struggle to find a topic about Certificate of Conformity. Would anyone be able to direct me to the right place? I understand that Toyota would be able to issue one but i suspect it may take decades. If the cert is not an option would you be able to help with V55 form information e.g. emission details, sound performance etc? Car details: Vellfire GGH25 3.5V6 4WD Thank You Pete
Chris.ac Posted January 28, 2022 Posted January 28, 2022 private import? if so, I know there are dealers selling copies the certs on ebay
Kornus Posted January 28, 2022 Author Posted January 28, 2022 It was imported through UK agent so I will probably ask them for that info. Thanks
darren1980 Posted February 7 Posted February 7 You won't get a coc from Toyota head office I've been trying to get one from them and won't help as they are saying they got no information on japanese imported vehicles and I'm Struggling to find out where to get one.

darren1980 Posted February 8 Posted February 8 Mine doesn't pass as it a 2005 model but doesn't make sense as it the same v6 engine that in a 2006 model

Your throttle is cable operated, later models are "fly by wire'' Wouldn't surprise me if the emissions are lower on the later model I believe yours has a 4 speed, the Gen 1 facelift has a 5 speed. What do you need a C of C for ? Your 2005 is unlikely to be ULEZ compliant if that is your need.
darren1980 Posted February 9 Posted February 9 I'm all new to the alphard seen what is the face-lift model there can't be much difference in emissions between the 2 tho I can't get a coc for mine as there no that can help at all

If I am correct, you have what is known as a Gen (eration) 1 The later model is known as a Gen 1 Facelift. There are subsequent Gen 2 and Gen 3 models. There are changes between the two versions. If you have a 4 speed auto box you have a Gen 1 If you have a 5 speed auto box you have a Gen 1 Facelift. The changeover year was 2005, September as I recall. My view is that the Gen 1 is not ULEZ compliant, and the Gen 1 facelift is. If your vehicle is registered at DVLA. Type your registration into Transport for London for ULEZ compliance ( it's not a certificate though ). The DVLA website will inform you when your vehicle was manufactured. 1
Rojie Posted February 10 Posted February 10 10 hours ago, darren1980 said: So mine must be gen 1 was first reg in July 2005 Almost certainly. The 4 speed, or 5 speed is the real clue. The rear light clusters are also quite different.
pipsyp Posted February 10 Posted February 10 So are the front lights for the most part. Most facelifts have AFS projector headlamps, the pre facelift didn't come with AFS I don't believe (they either had reflector halogen or reflector xenon lamps). 1

darren1980 Posted February 12 Posted February 12 Well let just say it not above board but it works lol
Dave Posted October 29 Posted October 29 Any clues about what you did? I've just had an LEZ ticket from Edinburgh. I appealed on the basis that my Alphard is Dec 2006 and passed on the tfl checker... but they want evidence eg a CoC.
Gamith Posted October 29 Posted October 29 I must admit to being a bit confused. >If you have a 4 speed auto box you have a Gen 1 >If you have a 5 speed auto box you have a Gen 1 Facelift. Mine is a May 2005 2.4l with the kerb mirror and the split lights at the back but it also has a 4 speed box (the 'manual' numbers go up to 3) >I have the fly by wire system also. I assumed mine was a Gen1 Facelift but the info above seems to contradict that.

Referring to my JPNZ Owners Manual; all the Gen 1 2.4L machines were only a 4 speed automatic. Sorry. I now believe the 5 speed was introduced for the Gen 2 (although my Owners Manual does not cover that Generation). Sincerest apologies for any undue concern I may have caused you.

No worries, just glad to get it cleared up. So a 2005 with a kerb mirror is a Gen 1 Face-lift after all 🙂 I think I used a Wikipedia page as a reference, so I would not be too surprised for that to be wrong.
