EJP
Dear all, I’ve recently purchased an Alphard campervan conversion from Calder Campers. I have been very impressed by all the discussions on the various adaptations that members have made to their vehicles. I’m afraid I took the easy option and got Calder Campers to do this for me. I’m a member of the Loch Lomond Sailing Club, so I’m really looking forward to using the Alphard to go up to the club and stay overnight at sailing weekends. I wonder if there is an Alphard group in Glasgow? 🤔
Rojie
Hello EJP, Welcome to the Forum. THE place to meet and greet fellow Alphie owners. Nice machine. A lot to be proud of. Happy sailing and motoring.
Guest
Welcome @EJP that's a lovely conversion; it's just amazing the space it has inside; like Dr Who's tardis! Are you getting an awning attached?
EJP
Not thinking of an awning, yet. We bought an Alvantor bubble tent, last year. So I’m think of using this as an extension. I’ll report in due course on the success of this! 🧐
Guest
if you do want to look into an awning, look the the Fiamma F35 awning.

Arthur
Congratulations on your purchase. I took the same decision as you and got a 2007 3.0 AWD (4x4) with 15k on the clock from Calder in March. As we live in Wirral we stayed in Helensburgh for a few days to check out any potential faults before driving South and thankfully only minor teething issues experienced to date. Just back from a 7 day tour of Northern Ireland and we are delighted with the comfort and performance. Hope you have as much fun as we’ve had in our 6 weeks of ownership. Just looking around for a suitable drive away awning with magnetic fastenings but everywhere locally seem to be out of stock. Hope you’ve been able to make use of your bubble tent.
POH
Wow we bought our Alphard, also converted by Calder, and looks almost identical to yours and we bought it on the same day you posted about your new addition 🙂 Great van and alsready had one adventure down in the borders and used the Olpro California drive away awning. Very expensive but worth it I think.
