adding adaptive cruise control

Recommended Posts

I respectfully suggest you try and find a source for the radar emitter and receiver before pursuing this.

Even if the wiring loom is already there, without the sensors......

I am guessing, but I expect OEM sensors will be very expensive.

thanks for the replies, the adaptive cruise seems to be the only option my alphie doesnt have, It does have the sonar already, wasnt sure if anyone had attempted to add the adaptive cruise before, has regular cruise.

i think the adaptive cruise also comes with the lane keep assist?

You need the emitter, the ecu, the upgraded stalk, steering control button, the LKA camera module, I think you would need to spend in excess of £1000 for the parts, and then fingers crossed the right look is fitted

I have lane assist, but I don't have radar.

Strange, I do have what I thought were radar emitters but there are running lights !

After a little more research, I believe you will need a different dash cluster; certainly the main one as that is where there the radar 'graphic symbols' appear.

They is an additional LCD above the usual odometer.

yep, you'd be right there.

It's certainly not trivial, the loom would need to be the right one, as many canbus data connections are needed, even the brake actuator needs adding etc, its really not a DIY job with something so safety critical.
