Hello Ade,

Welcome to the Forum.

I have an earlier unit.

To record a CD just play the CD.

If the disk is not full, it will record the CD automatically.

Yours is a later unit so this may not be applicable !

Good Luck.

of you can't figure out, I will post some pics.

if it's set up correctly, it should automatically start to copy the CD to the harddrive, a little symbol will appear in corner of the progress, once complete, you hit the HDD button to select album/track

I have found this tricky myself, but in the end if i play the cd then I can usually find it in the albums list. I hav not messed too much with it as I am mainly a Bluetooth and spoitfy person as i got rid of all my CD's and DVD's (apart from the kids dvds)

I have a few dvds filled with Mp3s from many years ago that happily work, too

Eightseater.blog.com provides a very good guide on the Gen 1 HDD unit, including adding and removing tracks from the HDD unit.

Ade, I know you have a newer vehicle, but I suggest it's worth a read.
