Hi had the same problem with mine when I bought it,I wondered why the garage had the back left seat folded up. I found that the back latch was stuck, I used a screwdriver to flick it up - then pushed the seat all the way forward to click onto first runner and and the seat engaged and the runner went back .i

Will the seat pop up even though it doesn’t line up with the arrow to release the seat up ?

to be honest took me a while if you notice there are two latches one in front and one at the back. i moved the sear as far forward and it engaged the first latch   the back one wouldnt engage to lock the sear clip - I  just used the screwdriver to prize it up - the seat then moved on the runner - before that the runner was out of line with the runner on the opposite side .

Had the same issue myself, hadn't noticed until Christmas eve trying to find somewhere to stash the kids presents without them seeing. Back right seat wouldn't move on runner. There's one position on the runner where the two latches can be released, outside of this the seat won't click into place properly.

My problem was I couldn't move the seat on the runner to line up with the arrow (genuinely don't know how they got it to move on the runner in the first place). There is a latch in the middle of the runner that you can press with a screwdriver (whilst also pulling the slide handle if the seat is down) which allows you to move the runner along the track with or without the seat locked in. This allows you to re-align the seat runner even if the seat isn't locked in or hasn't locked properly.

Of course. Depending on whether the seat is up/stowed or seat is down and stuck on runner, need to make sure the arrows line upIMG20221230104713.heic

It won't release the seat unless arrows correspond. I used the other seat track to align. That's also the only spot it will allow you to push the two seat clamp mechanisms back down.IMG20221230104440.heic

Need to make sure these are both down to engage/lock seat in place so runner works. Worth double checking the seat slides after engaging, needs a solid thump to make sure both locks in place.

If seat is down but won't slide, you can either press down the lever shown below.

Or use a screwdriver to push up/lever this one below.

I also used the "slide" lever at the same time but not sure whether that was necessary as the slide lever pushes the same thing as the screwdriver. Issue seems to be if you don't engage the seat fully, the slide lever can't fully release the runner...whereas a screwdriver can give u a bit more force to move it to align with the arrows and release the seat so you can engage it properly.

Hope this helps.
