GazLoz
Hi Guys. I’m new here just bought an Alphard. problems already! The electric windows worked fine at first, then all but the drivers window have no stopped working. Also the central locking button on the drivers door doesn’t work now either. I key fob didn’t come with the car so just manual key. I’ve read bits about disconnecting the battery. Is there a procedure for this or is litteraly just disconnect the battery wait for a minute and reconnect? Any help would be much appreciated. We’re supposed to be going camping at the weekend and I can’t open the boot! Thanks in advance.

Did you buy privately, or from a dealer ? If from a dealer, take it back, if you can. Are you sure your starter battery is in good condition. Has it been disconnected or discharged? Can you charge it overnight ? Yes there is a simple procedure to restore the windows. I'll update this post tomorrow morning with it for you to try. Ldrego (on here) or Cuttothechase has a procedure that may fix your boot. search Youtube. As Picasso says, JPNZ Owner Manuals are available on ebay. Worth every penny. Every owner should have one. Correct keys are also available on ebay. Check my posting of yesterday.

GazLoz
Hi 👋 Thanks for your quick response! So… I bought privately so have to sort it my self. (With the help of the lovely people here!) I tried disconnecting the battery last night. But has not yealded any results. So the only electric window that works is the drivers door. Non of the other windows work even on buttons located at each door. The drivers window button is flashing. I believe this has somthing to do with the reset sequence. But I can’t do the sequence I’ve seen online because non of the other windows work. Any help would be marvellous. regarding the central locking….. Ive found out today that the front passenger side lock opens itself, the passenger side sliding door and the boot. So I guess getting the windows sorted is main priority but would like to get central locking sorted too. Thanks again for you quick response and you help!! Yep, something like that. Have you ordered a JPNZ Owners Manual (to identify which fuses are where) ?

GazLoz
So managed fix this issue…. Checked all the associated fuses but they were all good. Ended up being the multi pin connector that connects the drivers door window/power door panel. I just used a butter knife to gently pry off the panel. The connector had come loose all I did was reconnect it. Took about 1min. hope this helps someone in the future. cheers.
