MPeters Posted December 18, 2022 Posted December 18, 2022 Has anyone had this issue and were able to resolve it? I have a 2003 Alphard hybrid where the electric (Wheel) drive motors are not operating. The battery health monitor on the display shows that the battery is usually at 3 bars and remains green. Incidentally, I have recently replaced the 12 volt battery with a non-oem battery. I am getting the VSC warning light and the drive ready light is also red with the exclamation mark. The vehicle runs off of the ICE fine. My mechanic couldn’t scan the proper fault code so that he could “Speak” to the high voltage battery. Any wisdom on where to go next would be much appreciated. Cheers, Monty

Trev7 Posted December 19, 2022 Posted December 19, 2022 It could be the inverter water pump from the lights displayed . very easy to check FROM COLD start the engine and remove the radiator cap from the small radiator located on the right as you look under the bonnet. the fluid level should be showing signs of movement (up and down) if not pump not running there is a video on utube which demonstrates this
MPeters Posted December 19, 2022 Author Posted December 19, 2022 Thanks ever so much Martin. I’ll give the procedure that you’ve suggested a go. At the very least, it will eliminate the inverter water pump as a possible cause of the issue. Lind regards, Monty
