Hi all, new member here. I pick up my 2005 Alphard on Friday.

First and foremost, as a new owner, I'd like to continue being an owner. What's the standard security like on them? Do people recommend any aftermarket alarms etc? I'm already thinking of a sigma alarm/immobiliser and a steering wheel lock, but happy to take advice 🙂

Hi Kyle,

Only had ours a couple of weeks, still not sure if it has an alarm or not but it beeps on locking and unlocking so perhaps it has. Doesn't appear to have locking wheel nuts but thats a job for another time.  I bought this steering lock which gives piece of mind.

Thanks for the response Colin. I'll take a look at that. Looks a lot of lock for the money.

I like it because although you need the key to unlock it you can extend it between the bottom loops of the steering wheel and it self locks. Enjoy your car.
