Central locking failure

Recommended Posts

Hi I have a 2003 toyota alphard 3.0v

my key remotely locks the van and it beeps

my key does not remotely unlock the van and there is no beep

i have to turn the key in the lock to unlock and get into the van

as a result of this none of the doors unlock automatically and have to be manually opened by moving the lever below handle

the central locking button on the drivers door does not appear to work either

i thought it was the key and replace the battery but doesnt make any difference

i got the key tested by an auto electrical company who said the signal was weak and sporadic and not working properly

so im confused and dont know if its a bad key signal on both keys or central locking electrics inside the car

i dont have  technical manual so i cant check anything myself

any gomments or help is much appreciated
