just for info i found the issue it was a 7.5 amp fuse on the passenger fuse box called am1 engine switch if anyone ever has issue

I have the same issue on a recently purchased 2007 2.4l model.  I have replaced the AM1 fuse as suggested but this has not fixed the problem, any other recommendations?  Thanks Garry

Hi Garry,

Is you battery in tip top condition, and fully charged.

I suggest you charge your battery and try again.

Battery is good and fully charged, checked all main fuses, all OK, something very strange happening.
