Can anyone advise us on insurance for our Alphard. We will be able to collect the vehicle next week but it will not be converted until December/January 2018 - as the roof has to be ordered.

We're very confused on how I insure it until this time.

Is it classed as an MPV now and then when its converted we have to change it to a campervan?

Can anyone recommend companies that insure these vehicles.

Hi Aurora....welcome to the Club

If the classification is going to be as a campervan then the Caravan & Camping Club or Adrian Flux are both good companies to insure it with.
You may have to watch that you put a higher mileage allowance on it if you are going to be using it as a daily driver as well.

Hi Trevor, Thanks for the advice. Just had a quote from Adrian Flux for £540 Fully Comp and protected NCB. Really struggling to get quotes from other insurers as they don't knoe the vehicle! 

 

Try Mark Richards they are great and know these vehicles inside and out.

I have just insured mine with Green Light Insurance, £367 seemed reasonable.

Not bad Ian. It all changes from place to place and driver. But nice hopefully mine will drop next year instead of going up like normal
