Trevor Posted May 24, 2023 Posted May 24, 2023 Official Alphard & Vellfire Club Annual Event British Motor Museum (Gaydon) Sunday 2nd July 2023 - 10am Due to the popularity of the British Motor Museum, we have managed to find a slot for the second general club meet on Sunday the 2nd of July 2023 at 10am. The location of the event is ideally located at Gaydon, 2 mins off the M40 between London and Birmingham. This makes it easier access for many members to join us on our Annual event. We are looking to gather at least 100 Alphards / Vellfires to join us on this great day and be part of the largest Alphard & Vellfire gathering. The British Motor Museum can hold up to 500 cars, so we have plenty of room. During the day we will have access to the Museum which is a really interesting car museum for the family, plus there is a cafe where you can purchase lunch or beverages and have access to facilities so you and the family will have plenty to see and do. Attending the event is FREE to join us on the day. Entrance fee in to the museum for the club is just £10 per head (usually £16) and really recommend going in to the museum. Even if the day is wet we can still have a good get-together. So all should be a good day out and meet loads of other like-minded members. British Motor Museum Website Time: 10am British Motor Museum Banbury Road, Gaydon, Warwickshire, CV35 0BJ How to Join this Event? To join this event all you need to do is register your interest (see below) We will keep you up to date with what's happening. Volunteers Needed 2x Camera / Video Person for taking pictures of the drive in and at the event and submit them to the club at the end of the event. Even phone camera will be fine. 2x Pitch Parking Guides (nice straight lines of Alphards) (CBBrundall Mike Owen) Meet and greet to welcome members. (CBBrundall Mike Owen) If you would like to volunteer on the day to help organise a few parts of the event then please contact me. Michael Brown Posted June 21, 2023 Posted June 21, 2023 (edited) Unfortunately I am not going to make it now as I had a Mini Stroke this last Sunday evening 18th June and was taken via ambulance to Coventry University Hospital because they have a Stroke Unit there. When you have a Stroke I was told that I must not drive for a month in case of relapse. I lost the power of speech, all my words came out not in the right order ( and no I had not been drinking ). I had a CT brainscan, everything appeared okay. I stayed in overnight and was released on monday morning, power of speach restored. I had to go back on Tuesday morning for another check over and don't have to go back, but I am still not allowed to drive. So sorry I am going to have to miss this get together. Unless I can help in some way on the day, if someone coud pick me up from Stratford upon Avon south of the river near the Banbury Road. I am disabled and on crutches. Edited June 22, 2023 by Michael Brown Offering help

Wisey Posted June 22, 2023 Posted June 22, 2023 …..and it would certainly help to find those who have helped out on the forum or with whom you have a common interest.

Unfortunately, because it is a legitimate registration number no-one would make it without a V5; which I don't have. I could have gone offshore to get one made but I didn't.
Wisey Posted June 22, 2023 Posted June 22, 2023 We have personal plates and always use platesforcars.co.uk Great service lots of styles to choose from and we’ve never been asked for anything to prove ownership.

kristoff Posted June 25, 2023 Posted June 25, 2023 I will be bringing my drone so i will lock spot for flyover to get picture of all that decode to come . Now, how do I make sure i get my cheap ticket entance gor the museum as this will be thing to watch if I about to travel that distance 1
Wisey Posted June 25, 2023 Posted June 25, 2023 Hi Kristoff, we were at last year's meet and we simply told the ticket sellers on the door that we were with the Alphard group and they reduced the tickets to £10.00. 1
kristoff Posted June 26, 2023 Posted June 26, 2023 It would be more professional if we get some sort of club tickets to help out the musem people . Wasn't there last year so unaware if the old version worked ok . In case of some troubles who will be to blame ?
