The other way drain it see how much comes out, not changed it on the vellfire but have on a Elgrand and Estima used to fill it until it starts seeping out the filler plug, and always loosen/remove the filler plug first before drain.

I have recently replaced the filter in my 3.5 Vellfire 6 speed auto box. The drain plug has a plastic tube behind it (this is the to set the level) the tube also needs to come out to drain the fluid this is removed by an Allen key. I bought 4 litres of genuine Toyota ATF WS from ebay ''expensive''. I topped up after replacing sump and filter and used about 3.5 litres. There are a few videos on u tube about changing filters and fluids on the U660e gearbox.
