Hi, hope this tip helps someone. Twice recently I have had ZERO electrical power in my 2002 G. Nothing .Dead! (With a healthy 2 yr old battery). I disconnected the battery, reconnected it and everything burst back into life. Just had to reset the windows etc. My mechanic can only search for the issue whilst vehicle is dead but I have to reboot it to take it in! Catch 22.

Make sure you have your room / mood lights off.

Just be aware that there will be residual current drain even with the ignition off.

Check the condition of your battery terminals, and battery connections.

All owners need to ensure their batteries are, and remain, fully charged.

Don't just assume they are.

I changed my battery and the passenger windows stopped working.

I've tried to reset the window but can't... it just seems completely dead.

Have you got any suggestions as to how to do it differently?

 Thank you.

You say windows.

Do you mean both nearside widows, or just the front passenger window ?

The front passenger window is reset from the passenger door; not the drivers door switch cluster.

Yes the front door passenger side windows.

I've tried holding the drivers for windows down but nothing works...

are you able to kindly give me the way you did it? Thank you

You need to hold the windows up rather than down. From the manual:

1. Ignition on.

2. Half open the window.

3. Pull switch to fully close and keep pulled for about a second after closing.

I did not know this myself but apparently there is a light on the window switch which flashes when the window is not initialised. It stops flahsing and stays on when initialised.
