Temperature Gauge Fluctuates Slightly

Recommended Posts

Hi there. I’ve just bought a 2007 Toyota Alphard 2 days ago off a private seller and have noticed that the temperature gauge fluctuates slightly. At times it seems to go slightly above half way and then returns back below again. Can someone please tell me if this is normal? I’ve only ever had a car where the temperature gauge fixes just below halfway and doesn’t move once it’s up to temperature but I’m hoping the Alphard may be different and that I don’t already have a problem with it! Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Dave

Hi. Thanks for the reply. It turns out it did have a leak in the radiator and needed a new one. Not ideal given we’d just bought it but at least it’s sorted now!
