Hello, I'm looking to buy an Alphard need a big family car nothing else compares, but several mechanics have put me off saying parts are hard to get hold of. Any advice please?

The old mechanics myth about import cars.

I have never had problems getting parts, especially servicing parts etc. Only parts i would say that would be difficult would be side windows. But then again i have seen plenty of scrap alphards floating around.

BTW, if you have a Toyota part number and contact your dealer, your dealer can order it in.

Pretty much all parts are available; service parts can be had anywhere as the engines etc are common to many other Toyota and Lexus models. Body parts incl lights etc can also be obtained easily as there is now a good supply of old Alphard’s being broken up for parts.
the most frustrating thing will be getting English language instructions for the OE stereo!
