2010 Vellfire GGH20 no sound from audio system

Recommended Posts

Hello from Germany,

my audio system stopped working. I have compelte no sound and the roof monitor is not working.

The failurecode in the headunit is B15D0 Most Comminication.

Does anyone have the fixed the same problem?

I crosschanged the Headunit and the 18 Speaker Amp with another Vellfire. They are working fine.

I measuered the complete Most Ring in the car. All cabels are ok and i have no wiring issues.

Does anyone have an other idea for my problem?

The partnumber of the roof monitor is 86680-58041-A0

I read soemthing about a broken roof monitor, but it can be fixed.

Does anyone know how it can be fixed.

Thanks for you help.

I love the car, but this problem ist abslout anoying. 😢

I ready Something about Problems with the top Monitor and this can bei repaired.

Does anyone habe done this?

It's your roof monitor. I went through this when replaced it with a new andriod screen. There's a board in the OEM roof TV, it must be plugged back in the system to make sound working. I had to rip that board out plug it back in the system.

Check those two connections first, blue and white.

If not, it must be this board faulty.

Thanks for this information.

Do you have a Link to your Android Screen?

Does ist fit with the OEM connectors?

The White and blue plugs are checked and These are ok.

Maybe i can Change the Monitor with an used fully functional OEM one?

Do you think this ist an Idea?

I think you could try a funcional OEM monitor, but I am not 100% sure.

The andriod roof tv doesn't connect to those two OEM connectors, that's why I got no sound when first installed. It's pretty much a stand alone unit, has two built in speakers. I believe you could run some wires get it connected to the OEM system but just seems too much trouble to make sense to me.

Take apart OEM monitor, get the board, wrap in foam paper plug it back to the connectors 😃 only the board. That's how I get the sound back. And I swapped the headunit for an android system too..

No, my OEM roof tv is working properly. I replaced it with a bigger screen then lost all sound. My guess is the sound system needs that roof tv board to work no matter what you have in the front (OEM or aftermarket)..

I think all that is needed is to loop back the wui/wuo or the mo/mi pins.

This is because the MOST network is a circular loop, so when you remove it or the rear screen is broken, the signal loop is broken.

Your hack of retaining the board works because it's completing the loop.

You can see the loop in this image, you have a wake up signal to the amp from the headunit, and from the amp to the rear screen. (WUO WUI)

The signal loop for audio is the mi and mo wires.

Ah ok, i think my Screen ist broken, so i have No sound

If u want to risk testing my suggestion above, you just need to short those 3 sets of pins.

I checked IT with my own wiring Plan.

IT comes direct from Toyota for my von number.

I have to Bridge

Mi+ Pin 2 to Mo+ Pin 5

Mi- Pin 3 to Mo- Pin 6

Sldi Pin 4 to sldo Pin 7

Be careful, there are differences between the JDM alphards and the export market ones (Hong kong, malaysia, uae, Russia)

The wiring i have is from the Japanese dealer sold cdrom, and the online gsic versions are the export units ( you'll notice they make reference to left hand and right hand drive)

Maybe your drawings are valid, but I'm a little cautious.

Where did you get the drawings?

Something to be aware of, too, is that the high end amplified headunits are able to play 2 separate audio sources for front and rear, which is probably why there is a loopback

Ok, they are using the https://www.toyota-tech.eu/default.aspx online gsic, which mostly is correct, it is based on the export models.

Our Japanese vehicles have codes like anh20w, ath20w, ggh20w, whereas the export models end with the letter L or R, eg. ggh20R for right hand drive.

Slightly different wiring looms.

Sorry to be pest, I'm having the same issue with no sound. I have the OEM rear screen, the sound was working, there was a small pop sound from the speakers and now no sound. The MOST has the green comms link flashing slowly which I'm told means the link is down. The amp under the passenger seat seems fine, which leads me to believe it's the rear screen board has gone bad.

Did you bridge the pins at the screen end of the connector? If so, would you be able to take a photo of which pins on the connector. I tried the suggested pins, but still no luck, not sure if I'm reading it wrong or I'm just too dense to figure it out.

Thank you kindly.
