DanielEckardt Posted August 30, 2024 Author Posted August 30, 2024 Hi, i bridged the pins directly at the loom connetor. I used the diaram vom User Chris.ac This worked perfect.
Carbs Posted September 12, 2024 Posted September 12, 2024 I ended buying a connector off AliExpress, then wiring as per the below. Pin 1 -> pin 6 Pin 2 -> pin 5 Pin 3 -> pin 4 The sound is working, thank you everyone for the help 2

That is much better than cutting into wires, certainly something most owners could keep in the glovebox as a 'just in case' solution, if their screen circuitry acts up, or if they decide they want to upgrade to a better rear screen. 1

Sure, below is the link to the listing, I got the male one. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005015791016.html In case the link dies at some point in the future, its a "28 Pin Automotive Audio Wiring Harness Connector Socket Toyota" with a male socket. 1 1
kev_coupe Posted October 16, 2024 Posted October 16, 2024 Gents I'm having the same problem with my 2014 Vellfire. Head unit powers up, but no audio and unable to control the volume either via the adjust knob or the steering wheel controls. The rear screen is also not working. I've removed the rear screen to attempt bridging the pins as above, but my connectors are totally different... I have the 18 speaker theatre system. Is there somewhere I could view the wiring diagram for the 2014 model so I can attempt to bridge the correct pins and hopefully restore the audio? Thanks in advance for any help!
kev_coupe Posted October 17, 2024 Posted October 17, 2024 Removed the head unit today and took a photo of the connectors if it would assist? Part number is 86100-58104
kev_coupe Posted October 21, 2024 Posted October 21, 2024 (edited) I managed to get the wiring diagram from Toyota based on the VIN number (clip of the relevant page below). This document relates to a 2014 model with 18 speaker system, rear monitor and panoramic roof. I'm yet to attempt to bridge the pins. Looks from the diagram that the Mi Mo wires relate to the brown plug and not the larger white one as I originally thought. Will update once confirmed. Edited October 22, 2024 by kev_coupe additional information

I have compelte no sound and the roof monitor is not working. The failurecode in the headunit is B15D0 Most Comminication. Does anyone have the fixed the same problem? I crosschanged the Headunit and the 18 Speaker Amp with another Vellfire. They are working fine. I measuered the complete Most Ring in the car. All cabels are ok and i have no wiring issues. Does anyone have an other idea for my problem? The partnumber of the roof monitor is 86680-58041-A0 I read soemthing about a broken roof monitor, but it can be fixed. Does anyone know how it can be fixed. Thanks for you help. I love the car, but this problem ist abslout anoying. 😢

kev_coupe Posted November 20, 2024 Posted November 20, 2024 Adding some additional images of the back of the plug in here which will hopefully help someone in identifying the correct pins to bridge.
pfeds Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 I had intermittent sound since I bought the car and thought it was faulty. Thankfully I replaced the battery before the stereo and that fixed the problem.
kev_coupe Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 Update for anyone else who is having this issue on a late model (2014) Vellfire. On review of the wiring diagram and pin outs, figured out the Mi / Mo wires related to the brown plug. Stripped the 2 black wires and found 2 smaller Purple / Brown wires. Looped them out purple to purple and brown to brown. Audio restored 💥

kev_coupe Posted December 6, 2024 Posted December 6, 2024 You need to strip the loom gomg into the back of the brown plug. remove the shielding and you'll see 2 purple and 2 brown wires. Loop them together and you'll get your audio back. Obviously keep the plug in case you get the monitor repaired and can put it back to factory. 1

I'm so greatful for you awesome bunch and I pray that God blesses you all with your hearts needs. Ps I own a 2012 Toyota vellfire 3.5 v6 with the 18 speakers. Thankyou thankyou thankyou thankyou From fiji to the world! Oh io 20250108_181843.mp4 1

Tama from fiji Posted January 15 Posted January 15 I have done this and it works temporarily while I'm waiting for the replacement roof monitor. Have a look at my video and follow the instructions bro and you'll save a headache. Condensation occurs at the top of the vehicle a lot and this is a downfall of having a roof monitor over time it will bug out. https://youtu.be/ULzf8bRF3rc?si=L90uk_OeD-4uwyU3
Tama from fiji Posted January 15 Posted January 15 You can slide the pins out the back bro. I found out after I cut mine 🫡
