Hey, I’m new to this forum, I was checking to see if any have had the issue I’m having, but I did see so my issue is my 2013 Toyota alphard is not shifting into 4 gear, it’s just Revving out, I did a scan an I got a P0776 code shift solenoid stuck close or wire broken, any help or advise?

hi sorry not replied sooner the shift solenoids in the transmission to get to it you need to take the transmission sump off in there you will find whats called the valve body on the valve body is 7 solenoids unless you know which one you could just replace the faulty one . the oe no. for the valve body is   3541033240   google the part no. see what it looks like you can buy refurbished unit with the solenoids all ready on it i have atatched a drawing for you .

if you dont know when the transmission fluid was changed i would personaly get it drained and changed .

Thank you very much for the info, the fault code that the mechanic got when he scanned was (P0776) which says “solenoid B performance/stuck in off position” so I don’t which of the solenoid is solenoid B so I can change the correct one. Do you know which one of the solenoid is B?

I changed the transmission fluid an to change the pressure solenoid still had the same issue with slipping so I pulled back the transmission fluid pan an the fluid was black after just 3 and it had metal

shaving in it. I thinks it’s busted.
