c13
Hi, so I have MNH15, it's kind of cool, I've learned some Japanese... But I am looking for bit more. Two questions: 1. What can I do with 1gen and techstream? I am looking for: - disabling passenger airbag so I can take a kid in front seat. - disabling annoying beeps when door opened/reverse -programmimg the 2nd or 8th key 2. Anyone has a good retailer? I am not going to play with VMs, I have a sacrificial laptop to do it. Regards Lucas, And hello everyone as this is my first post here ^^

smurf
There is no official way of disabling the passenger airbag that I have been able to find. If you are handy with electrics and happy to research, it would be possible to install a switch into the circuit to the airbag, but it can't just switch out the loop as it will put on the airbag light. It needs to disconnect the airbag and switch in a resistor so that the ECU thinks the airbag is still there. As to the value of the resistor required, I've no idea, so that is where the research is needed.

derek sullivan
Hi again all, i have unfortunately decided to give up my lovely 2006 [56 plate ] alphard 3ltr v6, 8 seater, due to ill health. Its been a very reliable friend since having her brought over from Japan, will be putting her through m.o.t at end of September plus service. If anyone is interested in purchasing or know of someone who might be interested, please get in touch via forum. Have details of past history in Japan translated into English with CarVX
